Professional Experience
Patrick Ringland is President and Managing Director at Meridian Capital, where he leads the firm’s Technology and Telecom practices. As President, he oversees key operational initiatives that enhance client outcomes, accelerate team development, and improve firm efficiency.
Over his career as an investment banker and economic and financial consultant, Patrick has advised clients across diverse industries, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, technology, media, and telecommunications. He has led engagements involving sell-side and buy-side M&A, recapitalizations, growth equity, and strategic advisory assignments for Fortune 50 companies, privately held businesses, and entrepreneurs.
Before joining Meridian, Patrick worked as a TMT investment banker with HSBC in London and as a financial and economic consultant with The Brattle Group in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and LECG in Chicago, Illinois, where he advised biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and technology companies.
Education & Certification
Patrick earned an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he concentrated in finance, entrepreneurship, and strategic management. He holds a Bachelor of Science in economics and a Bachelor of Arts in classical studies from the University of Washington.
He maintains Series 24, 79, 82, and 63 licenses with FINRA.
Community Service and Involvement
Patrick serves on the board of the University of Washington College of Arts and Sciences and helped establish the Ringland Rome Prize in partnership with the Department of Classics, supporting students studying abroad at the university’s Rome Center.
A native of the Pacific Northwest, Patrick lives in Seattle with his family. Outside of the office, he enjoys making music, studying physics, and experimenting in the kitchen.
As a buyer, what you hope for from an investment banker representing the seller is experience, professionalism, and an ability to manage the process efficiently. What we saw with Patrick and the rest of the Meridian team was all of that and then some. While they were uncompromising when it came to keeping the seller’s best interests in mind, they were also unrelenting in ensuring the process was managed efficiently and fairly.
