Professional Experience
Greg Powell is Managing Director at Meridian Capital and co-leads the firm’s Architecture, Engineering, Construction & Building Products industry vertical. Greg brings over 20 years of experience in investment banking and corporate finance. Prior to joining Meridian, Greg founded and led the Architecture, Engineering, and Environmental Services M&A practice at FMI Capital Advisors for nearly a decade. Previously, Greg also worked in investment banking at Deutsche Bank in New York City and for the boutique M&A firm Wiley Capital Advisors.
Education & Certification
Greg received his MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. Prior to earning his MBA, Greg received a BA in Economics from UCLA. He holds his Series 63 and Series 79 licenses with FINRA.
Community Service and Involvement
Greg is active in youth baseball programs and enjoys volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. Greg grew up and began his career in California before heading Eastward to ultimately settle in Raleigh, NC, where he lives with his wife and two children. Outside of the office, Greg enjoys tennis, skiing, scuba diving, and following his children’s pursuits in baseball and dance.
