Meridian Capital Expands Mountain West Presence with Opening of Salt Lake City Office

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON – July 11, 2022 – Meridian Capital LLC (“Meridian”), a leading Seattle-based middle market investment bank and M&A advisory firm is pleased to announce the expansion of our Mountain West presence with the opening of an office in Salt Lake City, Utah. Located in Salt Lake City’s downtown business district, the office will actively serve clients and business owners across Utah, Colorado, Nevada, Idaho, and Arizona.
The office will be led by Benton Sturt, Vice President, and supported by multiple local execution resources. A native of Utah, Benton has over eight years of industry experience and is a senior banker within Meridian’s Consumer practice group. He joined Meridian’s Seattle office in 2016 after his time within the Investment Management division at Goldman Sachs.
Salt Lake City and the Intermountain region have favorable growth demographics with a rapidly expanding middle market and a robust M&A environment. The regional market closely aligns with Meridian’s industry practice groups and expertise – particularly in consumer, technology, diversified industrials, aerospace & defense, and ENC&BP.

The opening of Meridian’s Salt Lake City office comes just 18 months after Meridian’s acquisition of the Seattle division of Moss Adams Capital and reflects continued growth momentum for the firm. Meridian has closed 20 transactions and welcomed 13 new team members over the past 15 months.
