James Kim
Professional Experience
James brings over 20 years of investment banking experience across M&A, capital raises, IPOs, and fairness opinions. He began his career at Merrill Lynch in the industrials and healthcare groups, later joining Bank of America’s technology group covering semiconductors. He then moved to Greif & Co., where he advised entrepreneurs on sell-side transactions ranging from $20M to $500M.
James has also held roles in private equity and corporate leadership, including serving as CFO of Electronic Recyclers International. Prior to joining CLA Meridian Capital, he was part of Wells Fargo Advisors’ M&A group, focusing on middle-market sell-side transactions.
Education & Certification
James received his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration from UC Berkeley, his Juris Doctor (JD) from UC Davis School of Law, and his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from New York University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the State Bar of California (inactive status).
