Meridian Capital Announces Executive Appointments to Support Continued Growth and Upcoming Strategic Initiatives
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON – September 23, 2024 – Meridian Capital (“Meridian”), a leading independent middle market M&A advisory firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Patrick Ringland to President, effective immediately. Brian Murphy, who has been serving as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), will now focus exclusively on the role of CEO. Brian and Patrick have partnered together for over a decade at Meridian in various leadership roles. The promotions are designed to support Meridian Capital’s recent and ongoing team member growth, expanded sub-sector industry coverage, and geographic expansion.
Patrick Ringland Appointed as President
Patrick Ringland has been with the company since 2012 and has played a critical role in the firm’s growth and Technology Practice expansion. He will continue to serve as a Managing Director leading Meridian’s Technology Practice while also adding responsibilities to drive key operational initiatives to enhance client outcomes, accelerate team member development, and improve firm efficiency.

Over his 10 years of firm leadership, Brian has helped lead the company through significant milestones, opening three new offices over the past three years in Oregon, Utah, and California, and expanding Meridian’s industry and sub-sector coverage. Under his leadership, Meridian Capital has seen substantial growth, solidifying its position as a leading independent M&A advisory firm. In addition to his role as CEO, Brian will continue to co-lead Meridian’s Aerospace, Defense & Space and Diversified Industrials Practices.
